How to Play Guitar

Welcome Guitar Enthusiasts!

This site has been designed with the BEGINNER in mind.

I have been playing guitar for nearly eight years. I am not going to lie; it was confusing and frustrating at times, especially because I had nowhere to turn for guidance. It is this reason why I have created this blog.

If you are like me, you don't want to spend money on lessons and you want the freedom of choosing which songs to play. I always thought to myself, why spend money when I can research it online and watch videos for free?
In this video I present 5 tips for the BEGINNER. These are things that would have made my life easier had I known them earlier in the process. One good aspect has come from my early struggles: I understand which elements of playing cause the most difficulty.

Kindergarten

Welcome Students,

Let's start with the basics. In order to learn a new language, one must first learn the written characters and sounds. In English we call this the alphabet.

There are 26 characters (letters) in the English alphabet. They are as follows:

Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo, Pp, Qq, Rr, Ss, Tt, Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz

Now watch the video and practice saying them yourself!

Welcome to CanadianESL,

CanadianESL is a very unique English resource blog. It has been designed by me, a Canadian certified teacher, with the intention of helping students strengthen their written and spoken English.

I strongly believe that learning should be fun and interactive and should be catered to each student's preferred learning style. After watching this video, please have a look through my blog. You will find videos, music, interactive worksheets and links to English games.

Here's the best part! This website has been designed in accordance to British Columbia's curriculum. So, if you are able to successfully pass a grade level on my blog, you will know you that you are adhering to Canadian standards. Enjoy!
